I Remember When . .

The Nest |

This little
girl from the rural area of Horntown, OK. went visiting in the big
city of Holdenville. While the parents visited, us children were
sent outside to play. We played hide and seek. After a few hiding
places were used up, I discovered a place that was filled with these
small things, that looked, to me, like a cows nest. Now into the
house we ran, to tell the grownups what we had found. "Mama,
Mama, we found a cows nest." "What??" was the response.
"Come, we will show you." We led them to the place hidden
behind the house. Laughter rang out. So, my great discovery turned
out to be a large pile of "Pet Milk" cans.
