Elsie Pauline Storts
Yarberry was born on April 7, 1918 in Lamar, Oklahoma to Ben and Joeller
Storts. She was raised in Lamar and Magazine Mountain, Arkansas. She
attended school at Texas Banner and Moss Schools. Elsie married Vernon
Yarberry in March of 1935 they made their home in Hughes County. Elsie
has been a member of Texas Banner Church of God for many years. She
enjoyed gardening, sewing, and growing flowers.
Elsie is survived by one sister; Florence Weisenfels of
Arkansas; two daughters; Shirley and Doyle Hardwick of Lamar, Oklahoma;
Sharron and John Holmon of Henryetta, Oklahoma; two sons; Robert
Yarberry of Sunol, California; Doyle and Naomi Yarberry of Catoosa,
Oklahoma; 11 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren, and 5 great
great grandchildren.
Elsie is preceded in death by her husband Vernon
Yarberry; her parents Ben and Joeller Storts; three brothers Otis
Storts, Odell Storts, Jess Storts; three sisters Ethel Daniel, Clarice
Huber, Inez Johns; one son Mitchell Yarberry.
Funeral services were held 10:30 AM, Monday, June 9,
2007 at Texas Banner Church of God. Interment followed at Holdenville
Cemetery, under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home |
