W. G. passed away April 30, 2001, at the Shawnee Regional Hospital. He was born February 2, 1931, at Holdenville to Winford and Neva (Shields) Lee. He graduated from Moss High School in 1950. W. G. was a mechanic with the Ford Motor Company for 15 years in Wewoka and two years in California until he opened his own business, Lee's Texaco, in Horntown and started the Horntown Volunteer Fire Department. W. G. married Viola Kincade on August 27, 1950, in Wewoka. His parents, Winford and Neva Lee, and one daughter-in-law, Linda Lee, preceded him in death. Survivors are his wife of 50 years, Viola of the home, sons; Philip and his wife Donna, Horntown, Mike and his wife Tammy of Pauls Valley, Danny and his wife Lisa of Stillwater, brothers; Jerry and his wife Shirley Lee of Horntown, Gayle Lee of Pryor; sister Carol Pryor and her husband, Victor of Holdenville; six grandsons, two granddaughters, and many other relatives and friends. |
