William
Edward “Bill” Tynes of Maize, Kansas passed away at the home of his
brother. Jerry Tynes, at Horntown, Oklahoma on Friday, March 11, 2005
at the age of 62 years.
Bill was the son of Walter and Velma (Bailey) Tynes,
born on February 5. 1943 in Holdenville, Oklahoma. He grew up in the
Moss and Lamar communities. He graduated from Moss High School in 1962,
served in the U.S. Air Force, and moved to Maize, Kansas, where he
resided until his death.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Walter &
Velma Tynes; his sister, Bette Sangster, and two brothers, Raymond Tynes
and Nelson Tynes.
He is survived by his brother. Jerry Tynes of Horntown,
OK, nieces Elaine Kibby and husband Jerry of Claremore, OK, Vinita
Fuller and husband Thomas of Garland, Texas, Sheila Karch and husband
David of Wylie, Texas, Gina Buxton and husband Chris of Buffalo,
Missouri, Sarah Smith and husband Eric of Russellville, Missouri, Lora
Tynes and Dawn Tynes, both of Anoka, Minnesota, and Debbie Tynes of
Maize, Kansas; nephews James Pickett and wife Barbara of Durant,
Oklahoma, Danny Tynes and Ross Tynes, both of Maize, Kansas.
Graveside services were held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday,
March 14, 2005, and Bill was laid to rest in the Wetumka Cemetery,
Wetumka, Oklahoma. Services were officiated by Karen Smith, Chaplain.
Pallbearers were James Pickett, Jerry Kibby, Shawn Kibby, Eric Smith,
Harold Jay, Bill Yarbrough, Kevin Reed and John Goodson.
Services were under direction of Fisher Funeral Home of
Holdenville, Oklahoma.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations
be made to Eastern Hills Hospice Inc., 410 East Oak, Seminole, Oklahoma
