Rosa Lea (Letka) Morrow

    Rosa Lea (Letka) Morrow went home to be with the Lord on November 29, 2013 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Rosa was born on November 13, 1938 in Holdenville, Oklahoma to Porter and Ora (King) Letka. She had five siblings, Jennie, Billy, Hershel, Robert, and Naomi. She graduated school at Moss Public Schools where she loved to play  softball.
   Rose married James Edward Morrow. The couple loved and enjoyed their four children, Tajuana, Eric, Travis and Bryan. They were the sunshine in Rose’s life. She worked at Exxon Mobil Chemical for over 10 years as a secretary. Rose never met a person she did not like. Shopping and going to rodeo’s to watch her sons participate were two of her favorite pastimes. Spending time with family was so important to Rose, especially when she was with her grandchildren. The apple of her eye. The grandkids brought such great joy to Rose. Serving the Lord and going to church was important thing to Rose. She was a member of Banner Baptist Church in Horntown.
   Awaiting Rose in Heaven were her parents, son James Bryan Morrow, sister Jennie Stone and brother Billy Larney.
   Survivors include her husband James of the home, daughter Tajuana Keely and husband John of Purcell, Eric Morrow and wife Kim of Meeker, Travis Morrow of Oklahoma City, nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, siblings Hershel Dale Letka of Enid, Robert Letka and wife Stephanie of Prague, and last but not least her very special sister Naomi Scheuerman and husband Terry of Tecumseh, sister-in-laws Monte Taylor of Eufaula, Reba and Gene Stanley of Corpus Christi, Wilma Shed of Holdenville, Peggy and David Brooks of Tulsa, Wynema Nalley of Holdenville, Marquetta and Allan Vyce of Fort Worth, as well as a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. Special friends include Wilena Scott, Phyllis O’Donley, Sue Slater.
   A family visitation was scheduled for 6pm-7pm on Monday, December 2, 2013 at the Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home, 301 East Main in Holdenville, Oklahoma. Funeral service was scheduled for 2:00PM on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at the First Baptist Church of Holdenville. Dr. Ronald Freeman Chastine officiated. Pallbearers were Randy Brown, Terry Hardwick, Harold Stringfellow, Chad Morrow, Shane Morrow, and Mark Foster. Honorary bearers were Harold Phillips, Gene Shed, Larry Shed, Monte Shed, Mike Nalley, and Garland Shed. Interment will follow at the Holdenville Cemetery in Holdenville, Oklahoma.
