Randy Martin passed away Monday, June 9, 2003 in Moore, Oklahoma at the
age of 32. He was born January 1, 1971 in Holdenville, Oklahoma to William
and Janice (Skipworth) Martin of Lamar, Oklahoma.
Randy attended Moss Schools for 13 years graduating in
1989. He later graduated with an Associate of Applied Science from
Oklahoma State University, Okmulgee Campus. Randy was baptized at the age
of 12 and was a twenty-year member of the First Baptist Church of Lamar.
He was a journeyman member in Pipe Fitter's Local 344 Union in Oklahoma
City, Oklahoma with twelve years experience and was most recently employed
with Martell Mechanical as a Heat & Air Technician. Randy enjoyed deer
hunting, and visiting with friends, and playing with his children.
Randy is survived by his wife, Tifani of the home;
Children: Cheyanne Sell and Miranda Martin of the home; Parents: William
and Janice Martin of Lamar; Brothers: Michael Martin and wife, Sabrina, of
Holdenville, Oklahoma; Keith Martin and wife, Cheryl, of Lamar.
Other survivors include numerous nieces, nephews, other
relatives and friends. Randy was the grandson of the late Alfred and
Florene Martin and Jesse and Neomi Skipworth.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, June
14, 2003 at the First Baptist Church of Lamar with Reverend Danny Fisher
and Reverend Darrell Seeley officiating. Pallbearers were listed as Steve
Arnold, Gary Bolen, Bill Martell, Eric Bloomstadt, Jamie Skipworth, and
Wayne Robinson. Honorary pallbearers are Jack Mills, Bill Arthur, and
Keith Sell. Burial was at Lamar Cemetery under the direction of
Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home of Holdenville, Oklahoma |
