Funeral services for Hazel Wynema Phelps Noble were held October 26 at
the United Methodist Church in Colon, MI with Rev. Arthur C. Murphy
officiating.
She was born March 24, 1941 in Holdenville, OK
to R. B. and Mildred Yarberry Phelps
and died October 23 at Battle Creek health System in Battle Creek, MI |

She
was raised in Lamar and attended school at Lamar and Moss. After
graduation she moved to Michigan where she worked as an LPN, married and
raised her children. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in
Colon, MI
She was preceded in death by her father, mother
and three brothers, Cecil (Rusty), Carl (Buck), and Cliff Phelps.
Survivors include a son, Andrew Mark Noble of
Hartford, MI; a daughter, Marian Elizabeth Kauffman of Kansas City, MO.;
four grandchildren, Joseph Noble, Bonnie Jean Noble, Amanda Nolan and
Chad Nolan; sisters, Goldie
(Phelps) Stapp of Holdenville, OK, Melba Mitchell of Galesburg, MI,
Maxine Brooks of Portage, MI, Nathalee Williams of Lamar, OK and Irene
Brown of Kingfisher, OK; brothers, Cleo (Ned) Phelps of Wichita, KS and
Clint (Nick) Phelps of Tecumseh, OK; ex-husband, Carlin Noble of Lawton,
MI; and several nieces and nephews.
Internment was at Riverside Cemetery in Colon,
MI. |
