Funeral services
were held December 4, 2002 at Hudson-Phillips Chapel for O. C. Youngblood.
Rev. Jim Crawford officiated at the services.
Mr. Youngblood was born July 18, 1920 in Wewoka to
Oscar and Myrtle (Inman) Youngblood and died December 2, 2002 in Oklahoma
City at the age of 82.
He attended school at Moss and was raised in
Holdenville, On August 30, 1947 he was married to Velma Foster in Bristow,
Oklahoma. A member of Capitol Heights Baptist Church, he worked in the
oilfields for a time and later as a farmer and rancher and enjoyed
fishing.
Mr. Youngblood was preceded in death by his parents, a
sister, a brother and one son, Ronald.
Survivors include his wife, Velma Youngblood of the
home; two sons, Royce Youngblood and wife, Linda and Rodney Youngblood and
wife, Pam all of Holdenville, Oklahoma; two granddaughters, Heather
MacKenzie and husband, Randy of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Jamie
Youngblood of Ada, Oklahoma; a brother, Joe Youngblood of Okmulgee,
Oklahoma; and many other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers were Roger Evans, Howard Walton, Joey
Youngblood, marty Roberts, Cleo Orr and Randy MacKenzie. Internment was in
the Holdenville Cemetery under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral
Home. |
