Funeral services for Holdenville resident,  Deanna Sue (Maxwell) Pickettt, 65, are to be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, June 26, 2009 at Penn West Baptist Church with Reverend Cecil Spoonmore and Donnie Knight officiating.  Burial will follow the services at Holdenville Cemetery under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home.

     Deanna Sue Maxwell Pickett went to be with Jesus on June 24, 2009 surrounded by her loving family. She was born December 12, 1943 in Durant, Oklahoma to Charlie Lee Maxwell and Pansy Mills Maxwell. Deanna was married in Lamar, Oklahoma on April 2, 1967 to Jerry Lee Pickett; he preceded her in death.

     Deanna was a dedicated and loving mother and grandmother. She worked as a clerk for Nicholís Grocery at the time of her passing. Over the years, she worked at several retail stores including Wal-Mart.

     Deanna enjoyed traveling, shopping and listening to gospel music. She was most happy surrounded by family and friends. Deanna was a member of Penn West Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school.

    She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry; her father, Charlie Maxwell; and a brother, Charles Leon Maxwell. Surviving are her mother, Pansy Wingo and her husband, Clester; her sons: Roger Pickett and his wife, Cindy; and Dennis Pickett and his wife, Katrina, all of Holdenville; one brother, Johnnie Maxwell and his wife, Barbara; and a step-sister, Connie Taylor. Deanna leaves eight grandchildren: Heather and Jamie  Sigman; Andrew and Derek Pickett; Taylor Pickett, Ashley Ellis, Colton Pickett, and Denison Pickett along with a community of friends and numerous other relatives.
