Larry Dewayne Durbin, 56,
died Friday, November 24, 2000 at his home in Davenport. He was born
on Sept. 25, 1944 in Holdenville to Carney and Sara (Lovelace) Durbin. On
Dec. 18, 1969, he married Carolyn Bamburg. They lived in the Davenport
area for many years.
He worked for American Oil and Chemical Co. of Tulsa
and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Davenport. Durbin served
in the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam War and was a member of the V.F.W.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; one son, Lee
Durbin of Davenport; one daughter, Cristy Bales of Davenport; one
granddaughter, Ashlyn Bales of Davenport; one brother, John Durbin of
Holdenville; and three sisters, Kathy Wolf of Shawnee; Barbara Carter of
Del City and Carolyn Meeker of California; and other relatives and
friends.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, November 26, 2002
at the First Baptist Church of Davenport. The Rev. Michael Mitchell
officiated. Burial was in Davenport Cemetery. Parks Brothers Funeral Home
in Chandler was in charge of arrangements. |
