Crawford passed away on Saturday, November 28, 2009 at Unity Health
Center in Shawnee, Oklahoma, at the age of 73 years.
Jack was the son of Haskell & Mildred (Green) Crawford, born on
August 13, 1936, in Lamar, Oklahoma. He was brought up in the Horntown
area, and attended Moss schools. He enlisted in the U. S. Air Force and
served six years, four active and two in the reserve.
He married Virgie Beck on September 24, 1960, in Holdenville,
Oklahoma. He was employed working on a crew for Oklahoma Natural Gas,
and retired as local manager of Oklahoma Natural Gas. After retiring, he
worked part time for the Wildlife Department and later installing
siding, until health problems forced him into actual retirement.
Jack became a Christian at an early age, and loved listening to
Gospel music and playing it on his guitar. He loved to fish and hunt,
and raise tomatoes every summer to share with friends. He enjoyed
helping others and the company of friends dropping by to visit him. His

son and daughter-in-law, Mark & Kathy Crawford of Sparks, Nevada; four
grandchildren: Matthew, Paige and Ryan, all of Sparks, and Lauryn of
Southampton, New Jersey; his sister, Joan Hall, of Oklahoma City, his
brother Bill and wife Liz, of Norman, and his brother-in-law, Donald
Beck, of Holdenville.
