Lloyd
Gene Hamilton departed this life at the age 50 on Friday October 18, 2002,
at the Kindred Hospital in Oklahoma City.
Lloyd was the son of Carmaletia (Rice) Hamilton and the
late Joe James Hamilton. He was born in Holdenville, Oklahoma on July 1,
1952, and was raised in the Horntown community. He attended Moss and
Holdenville schools, graduating from Holdenville High School in 1970. He
lived for awhile in Oklahoma City, where he was employed with Hobbs
trailers and Borden Dairy Company. He returned to Holdenville area in
1975, and remained there until his death. Lloyd had a great love for the
outdoors, not for farming and ranching, but for everything from planting
flowers to fishing.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his father, Joe
Hamilton, in 1987. He is survived by two sons: Matt and wife Elaine
Hamilton of Holdenville and Chad Hamilton, also of Holdenville. One
daughter Beth Clark of Madill, Oklahoma: and the mother of his children
Jacalyn Brown of Holdenville: and several grandchildren. His mother
Carmaletia Hamilton of Holdenville; two brother and sister in-laws Donald
and Mima Hamilton, of Holdenville, and James and Donna Hamilton of
Anadarko, Oklahoma; one sister Charalotta Love of Holdenville: and
numerous other relatives and friends and "Bud" his beloved dog.
Graveside service were held at McMahan cemetery in
Horntown on Monday, October 21, 2002, at 2:00pm with Rev. Bela Strickland
officiating. Services were under direction of Fisher Funeral Home of
Holdenville. |
