.     Services for Joyce "Geraldine" Brooks, 72, were at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, 2005, at Rexroat Baptist Church with Bro. Monte Dean officiating. Interment was at Mt. Olive Cemetery, Healdton, Oklahoma.

     Born on Sept. 20, 1932, in Lamar, Okla. to Lawrence and Pearl Slawson Gann, she died on Aug. 18, 2005, in an Oklahoma City hospital. Her parents preceded her in death.

She attended school in Lamar and Moss, Okla., and married Jim C. Brooks on Feb. 13, 1973 in Seminole, Okla. They made their home in Ada, Okla. where she worked for Wes Watkins as his personal bookkeeper. She moved to Wilson, Okla. in 1976 and worked as a bookkeeper for an Ardmore accounting firm, retiring in 1995. She loved to read, sew and travel, but most of all spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of Rexroat Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, of the home in Wilson, Okla; two sons and daughters-in-law, Paul and Charlene Hull, Healdton, Okla and John and Gracie Melson, Ada, Okla; stepchildren, Ernie Brooks, Lindsay, Okla., Danny Brooks, Wilson, Okla., Annie Ve Kullberg, Brighten, Colo., Shelly Shermon, Brighten, Colo.; five brothers, Jesse Gann, Wetumka, Okla., Dale Gann, Lamar, Okla., Charles Gann, Lamar, Okla., Bob Gann, Jacksonville, Fla., and Len Gann, Lamar, Okla; four sisters, Colene Pack, Wetumka, Okla., Karlene Sandborn, El Dorado, Kan, Jeanie Wolfe, Broken Arrow, Okla., Sue Loftis, Holdenville, Okla; two granddaughters, Terri Hull, Oklahoma City, Okla. and Kristie Myers, San Antonio, Texas; 11 step-grandchildren; and 14 step-great-grandchildren.

Bearers will be Matt Myer, Darin Wythe, Jeff Polzien, Daniel Brooks, Jake Brooks and Matt Frye.

Roberts Funeral Home directed the services.
