. Graveside services were held
November 10, 2004 at Holdenville Cemetery for Ed Howard. Rev. Meredith
Robinson officiated at the services.
Mr. Howard was born September 20,1911 in Stigler to
Jeff and Jessie (Kirkpatrick) Howard and died November 7, 2004 in
Holdenville at the age of 93.
He worked at farming before coming to Holdenville from
Lamar 15 years ago. He loved to play dominoes and spend time with his
family. Mr. Howard had an unquenchable curiosity about everything and a
strong will. He loved the outdoors and had a great appreciation for
animals.
His wife, Daisy Farris, whom he married February
9,1935, preceded him in death on September 25, 2001. Also preceding him
in death were his parents, two brothers, Glenn and Virgil Howard, and a
sister. Myrtle Stedman.
Survivors include a son, Jewell Edwin Howard and
Jackie, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; a daughter, Velva Weston and
husband. Bob, of Littleton, Colorado; grandchildren, Amy and Rick Kinion
and two sons, Austin of Arkansas and Jesse of Holdenville, Oklahoma ;
Roger Weston of Castle Rock, Colorado and his daughter, Desi Rae, of
California; Cheryl and Bruce Vincent and children. Nick, Haley, Logan
and Kendall, all of Kingsport, Tennessee; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy
Farris and Imogene Farris, and numerous nieces, nephews and other
relatives.
