L. D. "Butch" Conley, 71, passed away Tuesday, July, 14, 2015 at his
home in Yukon, OK. He was born in Holdenville, OK on April 5, 1944, a
son of the late Leona Marie (Arthur) and J.B. Conley.
He married Melba Powell December 30, 1966 in
Gainesville, TX. Butch started working at Western Electric in 1966 and
retired in 2001. He was a member of Whispering Pines Church of
Christ in Tuttle, OK. He enjoyed traveling in his travel trailer and
caring for his cows and donkeys.
He is survived by his wife Melba of the home; daughter
Rhonda King of Alex, OK; sons Alan King and wife Dottie and Todd Conley
and wife Michelle both of Allen, OK; 9 grandchildren; 19 great
grandchildren; brother Shannie Conley; aunts, numerous nieces, nephews,
Butch was preceded in death by his parents, one sister
and two brothers. The family would like to thank Dr. Michael Keefer and
staff and Becky and Pam with Mercy Hospice.
Memorial Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday,
July 17, 2015 at Whispering Pines Church of Christ, Tuttle, OK.
Immediately following the service, there will be a lunch provided at the
Snowhill Baptist Church in Tuttle. The family has invited family and
friends to the luncheon. Interment will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Hillcrest
Memorial Park Cemetery, Ardmore, OK.
