Ada L. Turner
August 26, 1921 - August 17, 2005
 

    

     Funeral services for Holdenville, Oklahoma resident, Ada L. Turner, were Saturday, August 20, 2005 at Hudson-Phillips Chapel with Reverend Joe Ward officiating. Burial followed the service at Holdenville Cemetery under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home. Mrs. Turner passed away in Ada, Oklahoma on Wednesday, August 17, 2005 at the age of 83.

     Pallbearers were Dale Turner, Jim Turner, Bruce Turner, Jim Searcy, Tony Blaylock, and Kenny Blaylock. Honorary bearers were Jerry Turner, Bobby Dean, Earl Searcy, and Larry Don Blaylock.

     Ada L. Blaylock Turner was born August 26,1921 in Hughes County to Dee Blaylock and Josie Belle Thompson Blaylock. She was raised in the Calvin, Oklahoma and Hulsey, Oklahoma areas and attended school there. On June 17,1938 Ada married E.W. Turner in Wewoka, Oklahoma and she spent her life caring for her home and family. Ada was a lifelong Hughes County resident and was a member of Banner Baptist Church in Horntown, Oklahoma. She moved to Holdenville, Oklahoma in 1987 and in 1995 changed her membership to Penn West Baptist Church. She enjoyed painting and reading and worked hard to be a good mother and grandmother.


     Ada was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, E.W. Turner in 1995; son, Kenneth Wayne Turner; grandson, Dusty Turner; two brothers, Otis and Ullis Blaylock; and a sister, Mildred Buse.

     Survivors are her children, Bobby Gale Turner and wife, Trisha, of Ada, Betty Joan Klingelhoets and husband, Paul, of Lakeview, Arkansas, Patricia Lynn Turner of Holdenville, Oklahoma and Brenda Lee Enos of Holdenville, Oklahoma, ; grandchildren: Maria Eve of Canyon, Texas, Jeff Turner of Perryton, Texas, Jason Turner of Ada, Oklahoma,  Paul Anderson of Norman, Oklahoma, Dru Anderson of Lakeview, Arkansas, Matthew Turner, Blake Enos and Mitch Enos, all of Holdenville,  Oklahoma and Ples Blaylock of Calvin, Oklahoma. Ada also leaves numerous nieces, nephew, and great grandchildren.
