DAVID NEIL
BURKETT H.U.D. BELOVED SON, BROTHER AND
UNCLE
Dear David,
In
tears we watched the news,
we felt our hope fade away,
we pray you suffered not,
we wanted you to stay.
You faced your task with courage,
your spirit did not bend,
we wore our ribbons of hope,
until the very end.
God saw you getting tired,
your life was not to be,
so He put His arms around you,
and whispered, “Come with Me”.
It broke our hearts to lose you,
but you did not go alone,
for part of us went with you,
the day God called you home.
We love you and
will see you soon…your loving family,
Your Mother Kathryn, Your
Sister Debi, Niece
Angela and Nephew
Adam.
Dear Family,
I am home in
Heaven, dear ones, oh, so happy and so bright! There is a perfect joy
and beauty in this everlasting light.
All the pain is over, Ever restless tossing passed, and I am now at
peace forever, Safely home in Heaven at last. Jesus came Himself to meet
me in the way so hard to tread, And with Jesus’ arm to lean on, Could
I have one doubt or dread? Then you must not grieve so sorely, for I
love you dearly still, try to look beyond earth’s shadows, Pray and
trust our Father’s Will. There is work still waiting for you, So you
must not idly stand, Do it now while life remains, You shall rest in
Jesus’ land. When that work is all completed, He will gently call you
Home, Oh the rapture of that meeting, Oh the joy to see you come.
My love
to you all…waiting for you, David |
IF
I KNEW
If I knew it
would be the last time
I would be there to share your day,
Well I’m sure you’ll have so many more
So I can let just this one slip away.
For surely there’s
always tomorrow
To make up for an oversight,
And we always get a second chance
To make everything right.
There will always
be another day
To say our, “I love you’s,”
And certainly there’s another chance
To say our, “Anything I can do’s?”
But just in case
I might be wrong,
And today is all I get,
I’d like to say how much I love you
And I hope we never forget.
Tomorrow is not
promised to anyone,
Young and old alike,
And today may be the last chance
You get to hold your loved one tight.
So if you’re waiting for tomorrow,
Why not do it
today?
For if tomorrow never comes,
You’ll surely regret the day,
That you didn’t take that extra time
For a smile, a
hug, or a kiss
And you were too busy to grant someone
What turned out to be their last wish.
So always hold them dear
Take time to say
I’m sorry, Please forgive
Me, Thank you, or It’s okay.
And if tomorrow never comes,
You’ll have no regrets about today.
